Good Example of a Bad Example

Here's a site that promises something, but then doesn't really deliver. Good example of a bad example. Where are the resources for someone who's simply looking for some case studies? Best practices? Examples of successful marketing programs? This (and others like it) are simply marketing programs to get me to buy from them. Not what I'm looking for.
